2004 Lower Platte Weed Management Field Tour

The LPWMA hosted an invasive plant field tour at Two Rivers State Park in
western Douglas County, NE. on July 27, 2004. In attendance LPWMA members and supporters, other interested agencies, property owners, the press and other individuals interested in the control of invasive plants and what the LPWMA is doing.

The purpose of this tour is to make the public aware of the spread of certain invasive plants that are present in the Lower Platte River drainage area. Plants to be discussed include Purple Loosestrife, Salt Cedar, and Phragmites, also known as Common Reed.
